9:26 am - Friendship Songs
Hey everyone! I need a little help! I want to make a cd full of songs about friendship and stuff...I don't care what type of music it is...but it has to be something about friendship! I have like ten songs right now and I need some more...so if you could help me out that would be great! Here's what I have:
1. Friends Theme Song (I'll Be There For You by The Rembrants)
2. My Friends Over You by New Found Glory
3. Good Friends Are Hard To Find by MXPX
4. That's What Friends Are For by Dionne Warwick
5. Friends In Low Places by Garth Brooks
6. Graduation (Friends Forever) by Vitamin C
7. You've Got a Friend In Me on Toy Story Soundtrack
8. Remember Me This Way on Casper Soundtrack
9. Count On Me by Whitney Houston
10. I Will Remember You by Sarah Mclachlan

**Please add as many songs as you can think of that would work with the whole Friends/Friendship theme that I am going for! Thanks!!

10:09 am - TOO QUIET
Ok, So this community is way too quiet! We need to liven it up people...come on come on...plus I really need some one to fill me in on all the new N*SYNC data, cause there are too many rumors going on that say they are breaking up...what is this about Joey doing movies? or something...Justin going solo? are him and Britney back together? I am so out of the loop...Lance is going into space I know that...but when? I hope some one can fill me in on all this data...
Oh and I totally met this guy at Friday's last night that looked just like Joey...like scarily like him...it was weird...

10:45 am - Weehoo

*NSYNC was on the Ananda Lewis show this morning. Their parents were on too. It was great. Well except for the fact that Fox interuppted for the stock markets re-open. Then it screwed up at the end and played commercials like half-way through their performance of "Gone". Oh well. Guess I'll have to catch the re-run.

"Gone" is supposed to premiere on TRL today but I don't know if it's going to happen or not since MTVs been playing music videos since last Tuesday. I hope so.

*NSYNCs next music video is going to be "Gone". It'll be premiered on TRL on September 17th. The guys just finished shooting it last night.

In other news, "POP" was retired on TRL today at #1. Out of those 65 days on TRL, it had been #1 for 32 of them. At least it went out with a bang :)

Time for my voice lessons. Stay *NSYNC!

8:34 pm - Wade... on Oprah? lol

Now I usually don't watch Oprah, which makes this even funnier. However after I got home from college today I flipped on the tv for something to watch. I saw that the topic on Oprah today was "Cool Jobs" so I figured I'd watch.

Fifteen minutes later, she starts talking about this guy who's been dancing since he was two and then all of a sudden, a video of Wade comes on. Wade was talking to the camera of course. The guys were with him too because he was working with them at the time. I was like "That's Wade!" lmao. It was just sooo weird. The guys were funny, per usual. They were all introducing themselves and we're like.. "in case you don't know who we are..." or something like that. It was great. haha. They were saying how great Wade was and everything. Lance kept calling him a genius. What a surprise, that made my day lol.

12:35 am - LISTEN UP! IMPORTANT!

This is from the Official *NSYNC website. I am only posting this for those who have not seen it yet.

SPECIAL WARNING TO OUR FANS AND THEIR PARENTS
FROM JOEY, J.C., LANCE, CHRIS AND JUSTIN
AUGUST 6, 2001

Dear fans,

We have learned that recently a few people (not-yet apprehended) have been trying to meet *NSYNC fans by posing on the internet as one of the five of us *NSYNC guys or as an *NSYNC insider.

We don't know who these imposters are. We worry that their web chat room messages are part of a plan to lure our fans to show up alone in isolated places where our fans are told they will meet us or will meet someone who will take them to us. We hate to think what might happen to one of you if you fall for these fakers.

So listen up. If anyone tries to meet you by promising they can get you to meet one of us because they claim to work for us or be one of our close friends or family, don't believe them. Ignore them. Be safe, not sorry.

Be careful. We love the meetings we schedule with hundreds of fans every day on our tours. But the fans we meet with are always gathered in groups during regular hours in safe places and are escorted by groups of our staff. No exceptions. That way we're safe. You're safe.

Beware. None of us guys, and no one who works for us, ever sells *NSYNC concert tickets. That is all handled through Ticketmaster and SFX. As for passes to our 'meet and greets', sound check, or on-stage parties, these are never for sale; instead they are distributed by our sponsors for promotional purposes.

Be real. None of us -- Joey, J.C., Lance, Chris or Justin -- ever posts personal emails on chat rooms trying to meet people. Anyone who claims to be one of us on the Web is, at best, dreaming. At worst, they are perverts trying to get something precious from you by promising something from us. Don't fall for it.

Remember, without you, *NSYNC has nothing to celebrate. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Stay safe and always stay *NSYNC!

3:10 pm - NPosters Alert
In case you have been under a rock for the past day or two, NPosters (as I so creatively named them...hopefully it will catch on so I can say I called them that first!) have opened Live Journal accounts pretending to be Lance, Joey, Chris, Justin, JC, Wade, and Dirk the ferret. Even Diane Bass, Brittany and Bobbie have gotten in on it. These are the funniest things ever, especially the comments. It's like a living Slash work. Check it out!!

Some of the usernames: Lance_Bass, jcscottchasez, c_kirtpatrick, Momma Bass, Bobbie Chasez (<- I already left a mean comment about this one, all in good fun though)

Read, laugh and have fun!

2:36 pm - *NSYNC...

Likely To Outsell Everyone But Themselves

I snitched this article from mtv.com. The title of it alone amuses me to no end. lol. Looks like our boys are up against some stiff competition... themselves ;)

"Dirty pop" is turning out to be huge for 'NSYNC, though maybe not as huge as last year's model.

Four national retail chains said Wednesday (July 25) that based on first-day sales of 'NSYNC's new album, Celebrity, projected first-week numbers appeared to be falling just short of those for the group's No Strings Attached, which sold 2.4 million copies in its first week last March the highest first-week sales of the SoundScan era.

But Celebrity, released Tuesday, does seem to be on course to top the second-best sales mark held by Eminem, retailers said. The rapper's The Marshall Mathers LP sold 1.76 million copies in its first week.

"Based on what I'm seeing so far, I'm projecting 2 million in sales nationwide," said Bob Bell, pop/rock music buyer for the Wherehouse Music chain. "It may not meet the mark of No Strings Attached, but in the end, 'NSYNC will hold the #1 and #2 SoundScan records. ... So many people have been predicting the death of the boy band phenomenon, but anyone predicting that 'NSYNC are over will be proven wrong."

In a press release, the Sam Goody chain said that Celebrity "flew off the shelves" on Tuesday, but failed to match the first-day sales of No Strings Attached.

Best Buy and Virgin Megastores echoed that statement, with Virgin's spokesperson pinning Celebrity's sales at 90 percent of those of No Strings Attached.

However, a spokesperson for Tower Records said that at their stores, the new album's first-day sales total of 30,000 copies surpassed those of last year's LP, which sold 28,000 on its first day at Tower.

"We're very encouraged," Tower's Sara Hanson said. "We think it'll do as well, if not better, than No Strings Attached."

A spokesperson for 'NSYNC's label, Jive, did not return a call for comment on the sales of Celebrity.

Before No Strings Attached came out, Backstreet Boys held the first-week SoundScan record, with 1.1 million copies sold of Millennium when it debuted in 1999. BSB sold 1.6 million copies of Black & Blue in its first week last year.

Ok. End article. So far I've heard that they sold over 900,000 in the first day for "Celebrity" and since NSA so sold 1 million in its first day, it's going to be REALLY close. I'm really interested to see what the actual number is now. Even if they didn't break their own record, I'm really proud of them and the other fans for what they have accomplished with their music.

When they first started out they had said they wanted their music to grow up as their fans did. And so far, I think they're doing a pretty damn good job of it. I can only imagine whats in store for the next album.

3:57 am - *NSYNC Cd Release Party

Hey ppl! :)

My friend and I just got back from the cd release party for *NSYNCs new album "Celebrity". It took place at Downtown Disney, in the Virgin Records Megastore from 11 pm - 1 am. Man that place was PACKED. We could barely move around in there! Shoot. I bet people are just now beginning to clear out of there. Some may even still be in line. Who knows.

A dj from a local radio station was there. He was giving out posters and autographed copies of a special edition of Teen People magazine. It was only about *NSYNC. They gave away some tickets to an upcoming concert too.

They were playing new tracks off the cd (I've heard all of them anyway) over the loud speakers. So *NSYNC was blasting in Downtown Disney. lmao.

Oh yeah. Chris Kirkpatricks mom showed up. She was up in the djs booth. So I couldn't really see her. Then around 12:15 am, Lance called in from LA to say hi. It was great :)

My friend and I are picking up our copies later today because we reserved them elsewhere. We're getting them a couple bucks cheaper too.

So yeah that was my exciting evening. Living in Orlando, definately has its perks.

Anyone else think that they'll be able to break the record they set last year for first day sales? My friend and I think they (well we, the fans and the guys) can.

1:18 am - Hey All!
I've currently been the proud owner of two Celebrity albums for an hour. I'm so excited (though I've heard 10 of the 13 tracks already), I have to learn the words still.

I entered Super Kmart around 12:15, with about seven other people who walked directly to the electronics department, as I did. I picked up two, walked to the checkout, and according to the receipt, I bought them at 12:18am. Insane? Just slightly.

But it's NSYNC Day. No one can be mad on Rex Manning Day (hee hee, Empire Records.)

Today is NSYNC Day though. I watched the View this morning, Road to Celebrity in the afternoon, followed by TRL ("Pop" was number one, of course), and Leno tonight. The boys will be on TRL on Tuesday, and who knows what else is going on. I hope they break their own record sales. The way I see it, when No Strings Attached came out, I wasn't a fan, so I never bought a copy. This time around, they have gained thousands of fans and if you are like me and my sister, the two of us combined will have bough 5 copies. FIVE copies for TWO people. We are insane. Then again, we also traveled 12 hours to see them in concert, and will probably road trip to Kentucky (which is only about 8 hours, 7 if your lucky). For becoming fans within the past 9 months, we are damn good fans who contribute to the growing empire. It's okay, cus they seem all level headed and decent people. It would be bad if they were jerks, but they are sweeties, so it's okay.

I need to start learning lyrics. I've only memorized "Pop" and "Gone" thus far, I still have 11 tracks to go. [At least I don't have the import, then I'd have about 14 more tracks to learn.] Silver lining. Night night guys. Have fun buying your CDs!!

10:52 am - NSYNC on the View
Oh my god!! I can't tell you how much I love NSYNC. I still maintain that I'm not a teenie bobber, I don't really like BSB, Brittany, or Christina, but there's something about those boys that makes me crazy! I couldn't stop laughing during the View and I totally cannot wait for Celebrity. My sister and I are planning on going to Wal-mart at midnight just to get it (though she has 3 copies pre-ordered from amazon.com...we just can't wait for them to be sent, we need them now!). I've seen them in concert 3 times this summer, with a plan to see them at least once more (maybe twice *hope*). I didn't even start listening to their music until last November, and now I can't get enough of them. It's like an addiction, but I don't want to get help for it. Anyways, I have to shower and make lunch for my niece before Road to Celebrity is on again at 12:30. Hope you all are having as much fun being and "nsyncer" as I am!!

~gailmarie

by the way: I maintain that Justin is still the infant and not my favorite, but I LOVE the ghetto way he says "sittin' here" during Gone!!!

2:28 pm - Armagedd'N SYNC
I just got done watching MTVs *NSYNC: The Road To Celebrity. I think one of the funniest moments was the Armagedd'N SYNC skit. hehehe

Announcer: "A world underfire..."

"It's a giant asteroid,"

"That's not an asteroid. It's an asterix."

"My god... it's enormous."

"Seems to have dislodged from the talent girl group, B*Witched. It's gaining momentum and its hurdling towards earth."

Announcer: "And only one group can put the planet back... *NSYNC"

"Gentlemen we need their high spirited boy pop. We've got 18 days to harness the power of their positive beats to stop the asterix. *NSYNCs our only hope... plus I've always wanted to JC."

Announcer: "Armagedd'N SYNC"

"You will be experience zero gravity, this may be devastating to your foot work. Who's the leader of the group?"

"Leader?! There's no 'I' in *NSYNC!" - JC

Announcer: "Sometimes the only ones who can save humanity.."

"We have 18 minutes til zero barrier,"

Announcer: "Are the dreamiest white boys on earth."

"We may not have much experience driving your fancy rocket mobiles, or blowing up astyroids. But when it comes to poppin' fresh dance moves, this is the best rag tag group of pretty boys on the planet!" - Justin
